Archbishop Thomas’ New Book: All Creation Groans with Pain

Guwahati (CBCI News): On the occasion of the feast of St Thomas, the New book “All Creation Groans with Pain” by Archbishop Thomas Menamparampil was released by Devabrot Khanikor, Principal of Sonapur College, on July 3. The book deals with preservation of environment.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest Devabrot Khanikor, appreciated the author for critically reviewing in his book the problem of environment degradation. He added, that the book has opened a new vista for him.
The Guest of honour, Mr P J Baruah, Executive editor of Assam Tribune, lauded the efforts of the author for giving a theological perspective to the subject.
Aziz-ul-Hauque, pastor of Baptist Church said, “We are suppose to love God’s creation and we are responsible for the exploitation of nature. This book challenges us to be responsible human beings in preserving our environment.”
Speaking to the gathering the purpose of writing this book archbishop Thomas said, “We are facing continuous destruction of nature, and this is to be stopped”. Environmental protection and economic development ought to go together, he added.
Archbishop Thomas regularly contributes to various magazines in India and abroad. He has his credit over 200 articles and several booklets on various issues.
