Syro-Malabar church campaigns against cancer
15 December,2011
(IBN Live)
The Syro-Malabar church’s laity commission has come out with a three-year plan to spread awareness against cancer. The commission hopes to start this campaign from January.
International seminar, awareness programs and welfare schemes will be part of this initiative. Various dioceses, parishes, laity, youth and women organizations will take part in the campaign ‘Fight Against Cancer’.
The campaign also includes a free education scheme for young cancer patients ‘Healthy Child-Wealthy Nation’ to be inaugurated on December 27.
Camps and seminars will be organized in schools and colleges under this scheme. A seminar ‘Oncology 2012', attended by cancer experts, will be held in May 2012.
